A prospective music student whose primary instrument is either:

Flute	Trumpet	Euphonium
Clarinet	Horn	Tuba
Saxophone	Trombone

and who is accepted into one of the WVU School of Music's undergraduate programs on this primary instrument is automatically accepted into the 2012 WVU Marching Band. This student MUST complete a form to confirm acceptance. Forms will be mailed to all these accepted music majors once the results from auditions have been announced.

• If a student above is not accepted into one of the School's undergraduate music programs and still wants to be a part of the WVU Band, he/she must contact our office. Our staff will check with the faculty for whom you auditioned to see if your performance level is acceptable for the Marching Band. You will be notified as to these results.
• A prospective music student whose primary instrument is percussion must audition separately for the 2012 WVU Marching Band. Exact audition procedures are outlined in the "Audition Information Section."
• Any prospective music student who is accepted into one of the WVU School of Music’s undergraduate programs and who wishes to play a secondary instrument in the marching band (including colorguard and twirler), must audition.  Exact audition procedures are outlined in the "Audition Information Section."
