The West Virginia University Marching Band is pleased to introduce its Feature Twirlers for the 2007 Season.
The Featured Twirlers for 2007 will be Donovan Sarr and Nicole Clatterbuck.
Donovan and Nicole were selected by a panel of judges during the final auditions held on the campus of WVU in April.
Donovan Sarr will be returning for his 3rd season as a Feature Twirler
with the band after two very successful seasons in 2005 and 2006.
Donovan is a graduate of Mount Gilead High School in Mt. Gilead, OH and
is currently a Psychology major at WVU. He has numerous national and
international awards to his credit, including being selected as the
2007 Senior Men's National Twirling Champion, the 2006 Senior Men's Two
Baton World Champion, and the 2006 Men's Collegiate National Twirling
Champion. Welcome back, Donovan!
Nicole Clatterbuck will be serving in her first year as a Feature
Twirler with the WVU Band after recently transferring to WVU. Nicki is
a 2006 graduate of Westminster High School in Carroll County, MD and is
currently a member of "The Dynamics," a NBTA majorette group directed
by Linda Alford. She also has numerous national and international
awards to her credit, including receiving 3 gold medals in
international competition at the NBTA World Championships in France and
Holland and most recently the 2007 Senior Miss majorette of Maryland.
Welcome, Nicki!
The WVU Marching Band has a longstanding tradition of attracting
world‑class twirlers to Morgantown, and this season will once again be
no different. We are pleased and proud to introduce and officially
welcome our 2007 Feature Twirlers ‑ Donovan Sarr and Nicole Clatterbuck!
The Feature Twirler program at WVU is coordinated and coached by Dr. Paula Jo Stout.
