The WVU Band is pleased to announce and to congratulate the Drum Majors for the 2007 edition of “The Pride of West Virginia”... Emily Reph and Lauren Eakins.

Lauren Eakins, is a senior majoring in Public Relations with a Music minor and will be serving her second year as Drum Major. Emily Reph is a junior Music and Secondary Education major from Martinsburg, WV.

The selection of the drum majors for our band is a process that is taken very seriously. Being selected as a drum major for the WVU Marching Band is a great honor that carries with it great responsibility. The drum majors are not only responsible for the on-field conducting of the band, but they are also the public "face" of the band. They are the ultimate student representatives of the band. They must not only be an outstanding musician, but also a person of outstanding character.
